"A Com"
Tucked within the dense, lush embrace of Ecuador’s forest, The “A com” cabin is a sanctuary where the rhythms of nature and design come together in perfect harmony. Located in a region renowned for its vibrant hummingbird population, the site is a symphony of nectar and light, with every corner brimming with life.
The architecture of The “A com” unfolds as two A-frame cabins, gracefully tapering towards the forest canopy and flowing down toward the river that winds through the site. This design not only offers sweeping views of the forest but also minimizes its impact on the delicate hummingbird habitat within the emergent layer of the forest. By lifting the structure and allowing it to blend seamlessly with its surroundings, the design ensures that the cottage exists in a respectful dialogue with the natural world.
Our team created a series of CGI and videos to capture the soul of the site, emphasizing the trusted relationship between the architectural form and its surrounding forest, while highlighting the respect for the natural habitats that thrive here.
